During one of my recent trips to Delhi, I was so exhilarated visiting Humayun's Tomb and Sunder Nursery, that I wanted to pay tribute to the refined crafts of the Mughal Empire. I entered a small pavilion dating from the Akbar era (XVIth century) and was particularly blown away by the engraved stonework of the interior: it was as fine as lace, and all my inspiration came from this.
